Kredits Completes Upgrade for Increased Control and Performance at CUMO

CUMO upgrades to Kredits SQL and Improves Information Transfer, Accounting and Controls

DEDZA, MALAWI – January 12, 2012 - Kredits, LLC helped MFI partner CUMO successfully upgrade their systems to Kredits SQL. In addition, Kredits developed and implemented customized solutions to support CUMO's innovative services and created an interface to CUMO's field-based Blackberry moblie phones for remote data entry. CUMO has expanded and evolved rapidly in the past several years and this upgrade and customization facilitates timely reporting and decision-making by supporting transaction processing from rural operating centers and enabling CUMO to quickly consolidate data from remote offline branches.

“We originally implemented Kredits at CUMO in 2004,” said Don Eggert, CEO and Co-Founder of Kredits, “and it has been very exciting to be a part of their tremendous growth since that time. This upgrade positions CUMO to meet the challenge of operating in rural environments as they continue to grow and expand their innovative products and services.”

In addition, this upgrade enables CUMO to interface transaction data with their accounting program, providing them with improved internal controls and financial reporting.   The upgrade also will allow for more rapid processing speeds and improved data consolidation through incremental data transfers.

“Please accept our sincerest appreciation,” said Ezikiel Phiri, CEO of CUMO, ”for the way you have customized Kredits to suit what we do and how we do it. The staff and I have enjoyed working with you. With what you have done, we are now able look to the future with a lot optimism.”

CEVI Implements Kredits SQL to Improve Business Processes,
Data Consolidation, and Reporting
PHILIPPINES– October, 2012 - Kredits, LLC and MFI partner CEVI, have successfully completed the implementation of Kredits Microfinance Technology Solutions in CEVI’s 30 branches serving 38,000 clients. Kredits was able to help CEVI re-engineer their business processes and better standardize their products and operations across the seven islands where they operate.  This will help to increase efficiencies and internal controls as well as improve information flow between its branches and headquarters.  Weak connectivity at the branch level caused Kredits and CEVI to choose a de-centralized configuration, which supports transaction processing from offline branches with regular and rapid consolidation in the head office.

“I was honored to work with the dedicated and mission-based staff at CEVI,” says Don Eggert, CEO and Co-Founder of Kredits, “We were excited to help CEVI, with its broad range of loan, savings and insurance products, successfully migrate all active data from Excel spreadsheets and optimize its operations.  This will greatly enhance their ability to manage and make timely, informed decisions.”

"It was indeed a great pleasure working with Kredits.  I learned so much from the Kredits implementation team about the computerized processes of microfinance operations and how things could be improved,” says Jonar Dorado, Executive Director of CEVI.  “I really salute the Kredits team and was amazed by the excitement and extraordinary commitment they displayed.  I am thankful that they understand that we are pursuing this for a higher cause, for the families and communities that we serve."

CEVI is a non-profit microfinance organization located in the Philippines with a social mission is to “serve the economically active poor by providing appropriate and quality microfinance products and services to help their business grow.”  Supported by the Area Development Program of VisonFund International, CEVI aims to offer more dynamic and sustainable microfinance products.
